Is Skortu a Scam? Review of the Online Store

SKORTU IS A SCAM. Like many others, I ordered the 4k-10-300x40mm-super-telephoto-zoom-monocular-telescope but received the 40X60-HD-Optical-Monocular-Hunting-Camping-Hiking-Telescope. When I complained to them, they would only refund the full amount if I ship the thing back to China, warning me that it would cost $20 to ship. The return address they want me to send it doesn’t even have the name of the business which is required when mailing something.
I said I would ship it if they give me a prepaid shipping label. They refused. They offered to give me 10% refund, then 20% then the final offer of 35% if I give them a good review. The nerve!

PayPal was not much help either. After more than one month of answering the same questions and giving documentation repeatedly, their last answer was I’ll get a full refund after I’ve shipped the item back to China. Still trying to message PayPal . They have been useless too.

Is there a way to complain to some government agency?

It took over a month to arrive after I tried four times to cancel the order. No communication from their customer service. My BOA card gave me a refund. I was unsuccessful at stopping the order. When it did arrive, it was broken. Stay away from this.

Telescope took over a month to arrive. When it did come it was the wrong one. Requested a refund and was told I was sent the "customized" model. What I got was cheap just slightly better than a child's toy. Said I didn't want it. was offered a 10% refund. Said I didn't want it, was offered 20% refund. Said I didn't want it, was offered a 30%. Last offer was 40% refund. When I refused that they said I could get a full refund but would have to pay return shipping of $20.00. Asked why I should pay for their mistake, no answer. Their customer satisfaction promise and refund guarantee are a complete sham!

I did finally receive a package but the contents looked nothing like what was advertised, the box had no brand name on it, and did not magnify at all. It is a complete scam

Yup, I ordered the same thing and received it today. I wasn't expecting anything super awesome, but it's nothing like what's shown on the site. Piece of junk, really.

Same here. I got a no name monocular labeled 40x60. It seems decent enough and could be fun to have while hiking and boat watching. But no where near what they advertised. I didn't expect much and am glad I got at least something delivered.

Ordered 4k telescope July 29, 2020. Have not received it yet. They said it has shipped. Claim filed with Paypal.

I received a cheap imitation of the scope. It has none of the features as advertised. They refuse to refund unless sent back to China at my cost of at least $20. Beware.
SCAM

It's a scam. I should have known better.

Unfortunately, I too fell victim to this scam. I should have known that it was too good to be true, but it just so happened I had been considering buying a telescope. I spent approximately $68 to get the expedited package sent to me in a less than a week, But approximately three weeks later I haven’t received one thing from this company but a deduction from my credit card account. This is a fraudulent online store that makes me very suspicious of buying anything other than an Amazon purchase from now.

I ordered on July 26th. Have never received package. I will never order anything off of Facebook ever again. Skortu is a scam.

I ordered a telescope on July 29, 2020. Still waiting for product, with no response from
this company as of August 19, 2020. Please beware of this company...

I did receive a telescope but it was absolute rubbish quality.

I ordered a telescope on August 2. I have not received it yet. Company has sent no tracking information. I attempted to contact them via email. Message was returned and I was asked to recheck the address. Believe it’s a scam.

Ordered August 10 one telescopes. Was told that a tracking number will be sent soon. No tracking number received.

Ordered 2 telescopes. Was told that a tracking number will be sent the moment the articles are shipped. No such number has been received so far.

Ordered 4K telescope on Augstu 3; have never received product or notice of mailing

I've ordered this 4K 10-300X40mm super telephoto zoom monocular telescope(Released in July 2020) from a posting on FB 14 days ago and have yet to receive it. I've sent an email asking for the status and have not received a reply. Buyer beware!
