The fake Amazon confirmation text below, which claims recipients paid $2199.99 for Canon E0S R6 HD Camera, is a scam. The fake text is being sent by scammers who are attempting to trick their potential victims into calling them at 0872007080, a fake Amazon helpline.

If you have were tricked by the scam and gave the scammers your account credentials, please change your Amazon account password. And, if you have given them financial information, please contact your bank for help.

Got the same text message from 61 481 384 575 yesterday. Has anyone got anything from Amazon or Bank on this?

I accidentally gave them a code and realise they attempt to change my password. Lucky it was a two factor authentication, so without the email they can’t. But just goes to show when you are not in your usual zone you don’t think. I also change all my passwords and deleted all banking details. Put a block on my credit card just to be safe. I learn my lesson.

Got the same text today from 0401948116. Called the 0872007080 number from my work phone and thought it was dodgy so hung up and googled the number. This is a great help thank you!
