Scam call and why use a name that sounds like a p**n star's name. People have a life, STOP CALLING WHEN I AM WORKING!

Robocalls from many numbers have been directing marks to 213-442-7162 since April 7, 2022. It's a scam. I've filed twice in FTC and CPFB for impersonating federal agents. No results to date.

Once or twice a week I get a nuisance voicemail - "This message has been marked complete by Alexa Miles". The latest phone number is 715-993-7501. Only once have I received the full scam message on my voicemail.

  • April 29, 2022 at 4:04 PM by an anonymous user from: Sunbury Township, Budd, Illinois, United States

I have received this same message every day, the number that shows on caller ID is different but the voice-mail is always the same with a call back number of 213-442-7162. I haven't called back because it is obviously a scam but so annoying.

Who says this is a scam and why? How has anyone been able to confirm this is a scam?

  • April 18, 2022 at 8:44 AM by an anonymous user from: Harris County, Houston, Texas, United States

    • April 5, 2022 at 12:49 PM by an anonymous user from: East Bench, Salt Lake City, Utah, United States

Same. Different number, same message over and over. Have never answered. Block the number every time... but it just keeps going.

  • March 30, 2022 at 6:09 AM by an anonymous user from: Downtown Redmond, Redmond, Washington, United States

They call from a different number every time. They called me at 2:30 a.m. last night. If there is a way to get them to stop I'd love to know it short of having to change my number.

  • February 17, 2022 at 12:11 PM by an anonymous user from: Downtown, Bellingham, Washington, United States

how do you make it stop? I have to answer my phone regardless of the phone # due to the nature of work I'm in, this is getting ridiculous. :(

  • February 14, 2022 at 11:27 AM by an anonymous user from: Centre-Ville, Montreal, Quebec, Canada

I don't know how Alexa Miles can call my voicemail and bypass my phone. Same script. I thought they'd be gone by now.

    • April 15, 2022 at 1:20 PM by an anonymous user from: Los Angeles, California, United States

Same with mine. I get the calls less often but this voicemail everyday. I believe its because the blocked number auto sends the call to voicemail as if you denied a call. There may be a way to have your phone company block it so you dont receive any calls from those numbers. Changing numbers likely wont help after a few months.

    • April 7, 2022 at 1:25 PM by an anonymous user from: Downtown Redmond, Redmond, Washington, United States

Right? I'll get calls sometimes that ring once, go to voicemail, then immediately have a voicemail that is about 54-57 seconds long. There wasn't even that much time during the whole process.

And it's always a different number, 10 times a day at least. I have so many blocked numbers it takes 5 minutes of scrolling to get through them all.

    Thank you!

  • January 26, 2022 at 11:48 AM by an anonymous user from: Santa Clara, California, United States

My attorney and I filled the paperwork with the FTC against this group for violation of the Do Not Call Registry. I receive on average 20 call a week from them and was able to get the names of 3 of these bums. I am not messing around, the penalty for each call can be up to $1,000. Ive gotten 20 JUST THIS WEEK. They will answer if you call them back. Ask for Frank or Edger Williams at 773-337-2113. They would love to hear from you and they do answer

    • May 5, 2022 at 1:58 PM by an anonymous user from: Santa Cruz County, Boulder Creek, California, United States

this is a scam, too. There is no "Frank and Edger (sic) Williams at 773-337-2113" It's just the same scammers. Thanks to pseudo caller ID this did not originate in Santa Clara, California

    • February 25, 2022 at 11:04 AM by an anonymous user from: Meridian, Idaho, United States

Our business gets over 10 a day and they always use our Google paid ads so it is charging us each time. I called and got laughed at for asking to be taken off the list. This is costing the business money..Always a different number..Not cool

  • January 26, 2022 at 10:41 AM by an anonymous user from: Atlanta, Georgia, United States

I have received this same call in upwards of 20 times in the last two weeks - always with a different number. The last number was 707-844-2494...real nice people. Not
