The fraudulent email asks potential victims to call telephone number 949-227-3098, which is a fake PayPal customer support number. If the telephone number is called by potential victims, they will be greeted by a scammer pretending to be a PayPal customer representative.

The scammer will ask potential victims to disclose their account credentials, personal and financial information, which will be used fraudulently.
