Scammers are sending scam texts from 8889070178 to potential victims, or asking them to call the same telephone number. Therefore, recipients of text messages from 888-907-0178 or text messages asking them to call the telephone number, are asked not to follow the instructions in it. If you get a text message that appears to be from your bank, instead of following the instructions in it, contact your bank directly to verify the authenticity of the text.

Received text message that my payment was declined on my card
Same as other comment - received call 7/11/22 with same message
Got one today saying they locked my card and to call that number.
Same thing happen to me.

July 11 22. Received a text to call 8889070178 due to Visa card blocked. Scam. Card is fine. Block the number.
Received text from 8889070178 stating that my VISA card is blocked, please call immediately. I was standing in line at grocery store, so, I used my VISA card -- no problem. Called my bank. No problem. This is a scam. I blocked the caller.
The text message I received was to call that number immediately because Visa-card-temporarily-locked-TXT.ID32830,Payment Declined! You can tell it's spam just with the errors in it. Delete!!
This number is a scam the robot callers is telling you your card has been lost and to activate your card plz do not do this it’s a scam

Attalla Al I received text saying Visa card locked and to call 888 907 0178. Checked # on internet and saw it was associated with a scam alert.
I received a text that didn’t seem right from this phone number 8889070178 and Immediately blocked the phone number.
I got text saying call 888-907-0178 immediately my visa card is temporarily locked and payment was declined TXT,ID77971. I didn't respond
I did get this text message (which does NOT contain any bank name) on my cell phone and immediately looked-up the number online. The number came back to Bradford Bullock in New Jersey. I also called the number from my home phone and as there was NO bank name given in the recording, I hung up.
