Scammers are sending scam texts from 8777860707 and other 877 area code telephone numbers to potential victims, or asking them to call the same telephone number. Therefore, recipients of text messages from 877-786-0707 or text messages asking them to call the same telephone number, are asked not to follow the instructions in them. If you get a text message that appears to be from your bank, instead of following the instructions in it, contact your bank directly to verify the authenticity of the text.

Received a text message from this telephone number claiming my EBT card had been suspended and asking me to call the number. Foolishly I did so and provided my EBT card number and pin. Immediately afterwards I called the EBT customer service number and reported the scam. They took steps to prevent any unauthorized use of my EBT card.
