Our credit card then ended up being automatically charged 8 times within 8 weeks, all for non-existant purchases. The charges on our credit card listings always show this company as "Smartycashback.com 310-593-4557CA" or "Shipmentsfree.com 310-593-4557CA" Check the comment section below for answers or additional information. I never signed up and it deducted $19 for 3 consecutive months and I realised when I checked my credit card bill. I called my credit card provider and explained the situation because you cannot sign out from a ghost account!. They blocked my card, and now it is in resolution, hopefully I will get my money back from Citibank (not the scammer), the first transaction was for $3 USD (I live in Australia), they test with a small amount and then continue until YOU stop it. Another US based scam also detected, I was lucky that a third was flagged by Citi, so if you see any transaction for very small amount call your bank. You will get another card and it is a bother, but at least you stop these criminals on time.0an anonymous userhttps://www.onlinethreatalerts.com/users/#an-anonymous-userDec 30, 2023 at 10:28 AM by December 30, 2023an anonymous user from: Miami, Florida, United StatesHi all. I stupidly used smarty cashback. I went to the movie theater a few weeks ago and when checking out with the tickets online, a smarty cashback appeared that I could get $15 cashback. I thought the movie theater company had some agreement between it but now I realize i was scammed. Well I entered my debit card number and as soon as I found out (the same day) it was a scam I quickly deleted the smarty account. I emailed them and requested a refund and they asked for my FULL debit card number?? No way in h**l I will be doing that. I lost $22 from them. It’s not a huge deal but what should/can i do? Just close my card? Here’s the email they sent me.
