PNC Scam Text Message and 866-433-0009 Fraudulent Telephone Number

The PNC scam text message below, which appears to have been sent from "3246-pnc-financial-serice..." and asks recipients to call the fake PNC Bank customer service telephone number 866-433-0009 because their accounts have been temporarily frozen, is being sent by scammers. The aim of the scammers is to frighten and trick their potential victims into calling them. If contacted, the scammers will pretend to be a PNC Bank customer representative and attempt to trick potential victims into disclosing their credit card or banking information. If they receive the information, it will be used fraudulently.
