DPD Delivery Scam Text Messages

DPD Delivery Scam Text Messages

DPD delivery scam texts are phishing attempts designed to steal personal or financial data by pretending a parcel delivery failed. They often ask for a "redelivery fee" or personal information via a suspicious link. Key red flags include urgent demands, unusual links (not dpd.co.uk), and requests for payment.

Common Scams

  • Urgent Tone: Threatens that a package will be returned to the seller if you don't act quickly.
  • Fake Links: Directs you to websites designed to look like DPD but are fraudulent.
  • Fee Requests: Asks for a small fee, often using a link to steal your credit card details.
  • Unsolicited Text: Comes out of the blue, even if you are not waiting for a parcel.

Protect Yourself

  • Do not click links: Never click on links in SMS messages for deliveries.
  • Check the source: Verify delivery status through the official DPD app or website directly, not through links provided in texts.
  • Report it: Forward scam texts to 7726 (a free service used by UK providers to track down scammers) or report to [email protected].
  • Delete and block: Block the sender's number and delete the message.

If you have already entered your bank details, contact your bank immediately to secure your account.
