Streamyard Scam Emails - Beware

Streamyard Scam Emails - Beware

StreamYard scams are phishing emails impersonating the platform to steal credentials or financial data, and unexpected subscription charges. Scammers often send fake invoice emails or phishing DMs to download malicious software under the guise of a podcast invitation.

Scam Types & Red Flags

  • Phishing Emails/Invoices: Emails claiming you’ve been charged hundreds of dollars for a subscription renewal, designed to panic you into calling a fake support number.
  • Malicious Software/Fake Sites: Scammers use fake domains like streamyard.org (instead of streamyard.com) and prompt users to download a fake "desktop application" to steal credentials.
  • Podcast/Interview Scam: Attackers pose as show hosts on platforms like X (Twitter) or email, inviting creators to a podcast, then directing them to a fake login site.
  • Unexpected Charges: Some users have reported difficulty cancelling subscriptions, leading to continued, unexpected billing.

Protect Yourself

  • Verify the Domain: Always ensure you are on streamyard.com.
  • Check Billing directly: Never call numbers in a suspicious email. Log in to your actual StreamYard account to check billing status.
  • Do Not Download Unsolicited Files: Do not install any app or plugin provided in an email or by a "host".
  • Report Phishing: If you receive a scam email, report it to StreamYard directly.
