Revolut scam calls involve fraudsters impersonating bank staff to steal funds or personal information, often using urgent, fake "suspicious activity" alerts. Revolut does not make unsolicited calls and never asks for PINs or 2FA codes. Verify legitimacy using the in-app "Verified Calls" banner, which alerts you if a call is genuine or fake.

Revolut Scam Calls

  • No Unscheduled Calls: Legitimate Revolut calls are arranged in advance via in-app chat.
  • The In-App Banner: If you receive a call, open your Revolut app immediately. A true/false banner will appear to confirm if it is a real agent.
  • Never Share Codes/PINs: Never reveal your PINs, passwords, or one-time passcodes to anyone, including bank staff.
  • No "Safe Account" Transfers: Revolut will never ask you to move your money to a different "secure" or "safe" account.
  • Hang Up Immediately: If a caller pressures you to act fast or acts suspicious, hang up.

If Targeted

  • Report In-App: Use the in-app chat immediately to report the caller, as described on the Revolut Help Center.
  • Freeze Cards: Instantly freeze your cards in the app if you suspect a breach.
  • Contact Police: Report financial scams to your local law enforcement.

Scammers often use spoofing technology to make their calls appear as if they are coming from an official Revolut number.
