Paylocity Login Scam Email Messages

Paylocity login scams involve phishing emails or fake search engine results designed to steal employee login credentials, often directing users to fraudulent sites that impersonate the real Paylocity portal. Protect yourself by only using access.paylocity.com or the official app, and report suspicious requests to your HR department.

About the Scam

  • Fake Search Results: Scammers create fake websites that look like Paylocity and pay for top search engine ranking. Always check the URL before clicking.
  • Phishing Emails/Messages: Fraudulent messages asking to update direct deposit info, W-2 details, or click a "login" link to verify employment.
  • Job Scams: Scammers pose as recruiters using Paylocity, sending fake job offers to steal personal banking information or for identity theft.
  • Urgent Requests: Scammers often create a sense of urgency, asking for immediate action on sensitive info.

Protect Yourself

  • Use Bookmarks: Direct your browser only to the official URL: https://access.paylocity.com/.
  • Verify Senders: Check that emails come from paylocity.com and not similar-looking, fake domains.
  • Enable MFA: Use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to prevent unauthorized access, even if your password is stolen.
  • Report Suspicious Activity: If you receive a suspicious message, contact your company's HR or payroll department immediately.

If you believe you've clicked a fraudulent link, inform your employer's IT department immediately, as you may need to reset your password and secure your payroll account.
