Is the 20 Ribeyes Steak for $40 a Scam or is it a Legit Sale?

I don't think the "20 ribeyes for $40" parking lot steak sale is worth it. While you may receive 20 pieces of meat, they are extremely thin (3-4 oz), low-quality, often mechanically tenderized, and frequently freezer-burned. The goal is to lure you into buying hundreds of dollars of maybe inferior, over-priced "variety" boxes.

About the Steak Sale

  • Quality & Size: The steaks are generally tiny, extremely thin (about 1/4 inch), and full of gristle.
  • Bait-and-Switch: The advertised deal is just to get you there. Salespeople are known to use high-pressure tactics to sell a "premium" box for $100s, often trying to make you forget the $40 deal entirely.

If you encounter this, it is safer to walk away. For the same $40, you could buy much better quality steaks from a local grocery store or reputable butcher.
