The fake email message below, which claims to be from Mr David Steiner, the postmaster General and CEO of the United States Postal Service (USPS), is a scam. The fraudulent email is being used as an attempt to trick recipients into calling a telephone number linked to call centers operated by scammers.

This is officially to notify you that your delivery file was found among
the unclaimed,abandoned files in the office of former USPS General Mr Louis DeJoy.
The parcel in question includes a sealed letter and the contents of
which cannot be disclosed via email due to privacy and security
regulations. However, we can confirm that the parcel contains a
cashier's checks worth of 2.5Million USD.
To proceed with the delivery, Kindly provide the following details:

Do not call the telephone number in the fraudulent email because you will only contact the scammers, who will attempt to trick you into sending them money, with the promise of receiving millions in return. But, once the scammers receive the money sent, they will disappear and you willl never get the money you were promised.
Therefore, if you receive the fraudulent email, delete it. Do not follow the instructions in it.
