Beware of www.pepgamez.com - It is a Fraudulent Website

The website "www.pepgamez.com" is a fraudulent one. The website which claims it will deliver all your favorite movies, music, and games across all your favorite platforms, is similar to the fraudulent websites: www.geeker.com, lilplay.com and tzarmedia.com. Online users who have used their credit cards on the fraudulent website, run the risk of their cards being fraudulently charged for undetermined amounts, even when they have cancelled their subscriptions.

Please continue below.

They (pepgamez.com) claim not to charge your credit card for the trial period, but will do so anyway, even if you cancel before the trial period is up. Also, they will charge you to cancel your free registration, and will periodical charge your credit card for an undertermined of money. And, the website doesn't have some movies, books and music it has advertised. I think this is another trick used to lure potential victims to the website.

Online user who have already subscribed to pepgamez.com, are asked to contact their credit card company or bank for help to prevent the fraudulent website from fraudulently charging their credit cards, or refund their money if their cards were already charged.

I have experienced the same with this site. I simply was on their site one day and did nothing other than look. The next month I had a charged of 49.94 on my credit card from pepgamez.com. I called several times and could not reach them. I informed my credit card that this was unauthorized and now they are investigating.

They randomly charge you. But in some cases monthly, to make it seem legitimate.

I also have been charged $49.95, the problem is that I do not recognize this site at all, my bank tells me that it has to do something with steam. my question is, is stream connected to this site of some sort of way?

    delete

    • Posted: 2018-03-11T21:55:14 by info

Your bank means it is a streaming website. Streaming means able to watch movies, video or other content online.

Now, the fraudulent website is a fake media streaming website. So, tell your bank to cancel the transactions and refund your money because the website is being operated by cybercriminals.

I have been totally taken by Pepgamz for over $750 Cdn.

I did not keep an eye on my Visa bill for far too long & just noticed it recently.
I asked them for proof that I had signed up & they provided me with an IP address which is not mine. A search indicates that is in a community close to where I live but not somewhere I ever go.

I have contacted Visa & they will launch an investigation but said they can only go back 120 days. Helpful but not nearly good enough.

Can anyone tell me where this company is located? I want to fight for all my money back.

    Any other suggestions?

    Many thanks,

    Feeling stupid in Canada

I was interested. The free subscription made no mention of introductory period or monthly payments. The moment that they started to ask for my credit card details I switched off. If an item is free there is no need for card information

I went to my bank this morning and found out I had been charged twice by PEPGAMEZ
for $49.95, once in OCTOBER and once in NOVEMBER? I never heard of them. I never went on their website, and I do not know how they got my card number? I had to cancel my account and open a new account. The bank says they will investigate.
At present I owe the $99.90 plus over $80 in fees? This is ridiculous. This company should be prosecuted.

I have just been scammed by the website. I have 2 questions, why don't the banks have alerts on dodgy websites so that money is not deducted until the bank contacts you in person and why aren't these being not being closed down, these are criminal offenses.

    • Posted: 2017-10-05T17:58:25 by info

You will have to talk to your bank about the first question. For the second one, some of the websites are being shutdown, but others are hosted in some foreign countries where is hard to find and shut them down.

Also, it is very easy for cyber criminals to quickly set up a new website once the current one is taken down.

You cannot cancel or trust the website to cancel your account, therefore, contact your bank for help. Have your bank cancel the transactions and refund your money. You may need to cancel your current credit card and get a new one to stop them from charging you.

I have just checked my bank statement and have found a deduction from my account by pepgamez.

I have had no contact with this company, I do not use these types of sites as I am an older human.

There are two withdrawals from my account,I have had no dealings with this company, I have no details of any account log in details and more importantly as the company states they will confirm account via et.mail.

No e.mails from them confirming my account with them.

This clearly shows this companies intent to defraud the public.

I have just been robbed by the site. They have taken close to 50 euros from my account. I just to close my blue card and I have filed a complaint to the police station one week ago, waiting to see if they continue to rob me.

To make me pay it is shameful and dishonest and disgusting. They must be stopped.

Please contact your bank and let them know that you have unknowingly used your credit card on a fraudulent website. Ask them to cancel the transaction and refund your money. Also, ask them to block future transactions from the same website.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe it!! I'm so scared right now! I've been getting charged by them and I was wondering what the heck was happening!! I feel your pain everyone else who has been treated dishonestly. Because I'm in Australia, I've been getting charged $67.16! I don't even know which game I downloaded on my iPhone that had this?! If I ever find out which one it was I will never signup to anything like this again! No one is honest anymore! I hate this so much! I know I have to go to my bank but that's so embarrassing! Thank you so much for this insight. I will be more cautious now.

I PROBABLY did sign up for a free trial with either Pepgamez.com or Fastplayz.com (or maybe it was neither of them !!)
BUT.... I did not receive any emails in my INBOX although mysteriously when I search for either of these names they do appear as having been in my Inbox - except that when I "Star" them only one of them will show up at a time in the Inbox. It looks as if somehow when they were sent they bypassed my Inbox completely because I have never seen them until charges appeared on my Credit Card bill and I started investigating. Then I see at the bottom of their previously unseen email that after the trial period they will automatically charge $39.95 or $49.95 PER MONTH on a recurring charge !!

Hi, I posted the first two comments below.

I believe they are in the business of not sending any emails upon registration at all. Same thing happened to me. My bet is that this is so you cannot prove that you have cancelled the service esp. during the trial period with a confirmation email.

These guys really need to be stopped.

Adding onto my previous comment, it would appear that the person responsible for registering the site's domain was one Sean Mullen as per the public info below:

    Sean Mullen
    Drixstand Ltd.
    11 Timis, 3rd floor, office/flat 302
    Nicosia, La 2220
    CY
    Telephone: 18887856093
    Email: [email address hidden]

There's a real phone number there as well in contrast to the fake support number listed on the pepgamez site.

    Hope this helps

Unfortunately I was one of the victims of this site and have taken some charges from pepgamez to my card which I've just cancelled to avoid further charges.

Apparently they are hosted in Ireland Amazon cloud space.

If anyone else has been burned by these guys, I'd love to hear about it esp. if anyone else has more info.
