Beware of www.smushgame.com - It is a Fraudulent Website

The website "www.smushgame.com" is a fraudulent one. The website, which claims it will deliver all your favorite movies, music, and games across all your favorite platforms, is similar to the fraudulent websites: www.geeker.com, lilplay.com and tzarmedia.com. Online users who have used their credit cards on the fraudulent website, run the risk of their cards being fraudulently charged for undetermined amounts, even when they have cancelled their subscriptions.

Please continue below.

They (smushgame.com) claim not to charge your credit card for the trial period but will do so anyway, even if you cancel before the trial period is up. Also, they will charge you to cancel your free registration, and will periodically charge your credit card for an undetermined of money. And, the website doesn't have some movies, books, and music it has advertised. I think this is another trick used to lure potential victims to the website.

Online user who have already subscribed to smushgame, are asked to contact their credit card company or bank for help to prevent the fraudulent website from fraudulently charging their credit cards, or refund their money if their cards were already charged.

From credit card account was also debited money. Since I use my calculator alone, I know that I have never clicked on this page. The bank wraps itself in silence and I'm out of my money. What can I do, you have to be able to put these people to work.

Hey, I just realized that my credit card has been charged with 40,75 Euros (49,95 US Dollars) since August 2017 by smushgame. Probably one of my children crossed the website coincidentally- can you help me with advice, is there any way to get the money refunded? I blocked my credit card so future fraud will not be possible.

Contact your bank and dispute the charges. Your bank should investigate, cancel the transactions and refund your money.

Attention smushgame.com and kickplay.com; since both are probably related and unlawfully pass on data with each other.

I never had anything to do with both companies. Still, they could charge my credit card. Will refund criminal charges.

    Received via email:

"Good morning, I am writing to you because I have been the victim of two charges on my credit card (both of 49.95 eu), after having responded to an email that they sent me. I inform you that I will proceed to make a complaint about it, in the movements appear the webs "smushgame.com" and "micmusik.com".

    Greetings, Cristina."

This is a horrible place to deal with. I did not ever sign up with them and when they sent me an email I told them tight away that they were a scam outfit and they were not to use my card number. On that same day they charged my card. I am so angry with this company.

    • Posted: 2018-01-30T06:31:17 by info

You cannot trust them to cancel. Therefore, get a new credit card or ask your bank for help.

Yep, cancelled during the promotional period, never used the service, and was charged 49.95 two weeks later. Total scam!

      Me too, three times now.

The best way to stop the transactions that are going to your credit card is to contact your provider have them cancel your card and reissue you a new card. They will do so immediately and that will prevent future charges to your account. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any way to get a refund for what you have already been charged.

The lesson here seems to be before signing up for anything even when they claim free trail for a certain period as long as you cancel, research by googling the website name and guaranteed you will see if they have been know to be a fraud.

True, I got the same problem, it charged my card for 3 months in a row and I could not unsubscribe so the only choice left was to cancel my card and get a new one.

Same here, seen a charge on my card this morning and I've never even heard of these crooks! How do they even get random people's details?

  • Posted: 2017-08-09T21:33:49 by an anonymous user from or near: Southbank, Victoria, Australia

    HI Team,

Exactly what happened to me, went to look for movies and found almost 100% gaming site, which is not me. Stupidly I had given them my details and did not use the site. Then only months later found out that they had been charging me $60AUD for Smushgame and an additional $40AUD for another site GR8Musik which has exactly the same look and feel as Smushgame and I had never visited. Both clearly fraudulent transactions and were happening for a number of months before I picked it up.

      Check your credit card statement.

Whoever these bastards are, they are con artists that took £38 off me each month. Bank won't do anything apart from keep sending me bits of paper to fill out.

    • Posted: 2017-10-07T13:32:26 by an anonymous user from or near: Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand

Can you go to the bank and ask them to cancel your automatic payments to them?... I always use a Debit Card when signing up for anything online... that way I can deposit the amount in there only and they can only take what is in there...

      • Posted: 2017-10-07T14:25:17 by info

You will have to ask them. I think using a credit card is more secure.

  • Posted: 2017-06-08T01:27:19 by an anonymous user from or near: Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden

I have never ever heard of Smushgame, and still the site has somehow been able to charge my credit card of 442 SEK (about 50 USD)...

  • Posted: 2017-05-12T20:42:14 by an anonymous user from or near: New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand

I made the mistake of signing up to them and have already (within the hour) had a small ammount of money taken from my account. Do you know how to unsubscribe to them, that would be very appreciated.

    • Posted: 2017-05-12T22:14:01 by info

You cannot unsubscribe. Just contact your bank and have them cancel the transactions and refund your money. You may also need to cancel your current card to prevent them from further charging it.

Yes have taken money from my bank account illegally. They are scam artists.

  • Posted: 2017-04-08T06:39:34 by an anonymous user from or near: Armidale, New South Wales, Australia

Made the mistake. Was charged $1.42AU by "Musikzoo.com" and again $1.42 from "Smushgame.com." Have since deactivated my bank card, and I am having a new one sent out, and the bank alerted. Have another payment taken from my account "mountain viewau" which I have not authorised either, at $11.99.
Not happy. And particularly as a UnI student, I can't afford to lose money for no good reason when I could use it as rent/food.

Felt a little suspicious of the page, used a different password from my standard one (like you should do anyway) and took screenshots with promises that state "we GUARANTEE that NO CHARGES will be applied for validating your account. No charges will appear ... unless you upgrade to a Premium Membership or make a purchase." The charge on the page was $0.00.

I also have another screenshot of a receipt for joining with a reference number, along with a box saying that I have the free ($0) trial for 5 days, that any purchases will be marked as being from "smushgame.com" and that I needed to validate my account to get full access to the website.
Given the option to upgrade to the premium membership, as a "time limited offer" that wouldn't be repeated. Not sure on the figure, but it was definitely under a dollar, $0.95 I believe. Don't have a screenshot of this however, and I declined the offer

Decided to make the best out of the bad situation, and looked for the movie I was after originally, and noticed that there was lots of old and irrelevant movies I had never seen nor heard of in my life. Had a cursory glance through the files, all the same type of thing. Did however notice that the game they currently have on their homepage as of 08/04/2017 is a picture of the character from the Hitman games, and it was not on their website.
After cancelling the account, tried logging back in and my details were no longer in the system. Not sure if I was charged the cancellation fee, as the text alert about my payments came through to my phone after I had cancelled.

    Received via email:

"On the 06-April-2017 the website charged my credit card $68.21 AUD as follows:
05 Apr VISA DEBIT AUTHORISATION smushgame.com 18884015217 CY Card Used 3040.

Free registration but verification needed via credit card of address. Guarantee no charges will be made.

I received subscription notices from 2 different names. One was a 5 day Premium trial automatically renewable, the other was a 7 day premium trial.

I cancelled both immediately (within an hour).

I have received confirmation of cancellation in both cases but today, my card statement shows two small transaction fees.

    Names are Smushgame and 411playz.com.

    • Posted: 2017-07-28T05:05:35 by an anonymous user from or near: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

      How do you cancel it.

      • Posted: 2017-07-28T06:37:37 by info

You cannot, just stop using the website and ask your bank to cancel any transaction from them and refund your money.

You may need to get a new card to prevent the website from continuously charging you.

Clicked on the link for 'free movies'; the site loaded as 'smushgame'. I did not sign up but went back to the original article and clicked on the link again; this time it loaded as 'music game' (or something similar); I then went back and clicked on the original link and the new page loaded as yet a different name.

It is also telling that the 'last day' to sign up for free was today; I'll bet that yesterday the last day was yesterday and that tomorrow it will be tomorrow.

I would say that you should stay clear of this.
