1-855-202-2492 is a Fake McAfee Support Telephone Number

It appears scammers are using the telephone 1-855-202-2492 to trick McAfee customers into paying for a bogus McAfee subscription. The scammers are also using a fake McAfee website called mcfsale.com steal credit card information by asking visitors to renew their McAfee subscription. Below is a sample of fake email being used by the scammers trick potential victims into calling the fake telephone number.

I ALMOST fell for this. A pop up on my desktop told me that my antivirus protection with McAfee had just expired. I walked thru the windows to have my credit card charged $39.00 and then called the 1-855 number listed above. They, then wanted me to run an executable program on my computer and I finally wised up and did not do it. Needless to say, I called my credit card company, closed out my account and they are sending me new cards. BEWARE, everyone!
