Do not call 205-287-0227. This is because the fake "AT&T Unsuccessful Payment" text message below, which asks recipients to call telephone number 205-287-0227, is a scam. The scam, which claims the recipients' payment was unsuccessful or is on hold, is being sent by scammers who are attempting to steal their potential victims' personal and financial information by asking them to call fake AT&T telephone number 205 287 0227.

I got this text message on my cell phone. I called the number. Recording came on that it was an invalid number.
Got mine yesterday too. Checked my monthly payment was successful last month, but isn’t even due yet this month.
Got this message today. I knew I had just received messages that payments went through just fine...but I still had a moment of pause. So glad I looked online. It was a local area code so that tipped me off. ATT doesn’t use a local number...their messages would never include a local call back number.
I just got this message this morning. I just got a new phone. I’m so glad I checked. Thanks!
SCAM: I do not have AT&T. These scammers are not very bright.

My wife and I both got this message this morning.
I got the same message.
Happened to me early this morning. According to posts on FB many have received the same.
My husband received this text around 5:45 this morning and I received one around 11am today. I immediately knew it had to be a scam since my payments are up to date. So sad that there are people out there trying to scam others.
