The Venmo text scam below, which claims a transaction of $720 was done on the recipient's account and they should call support at 1-866-202-7909 if the transaction was not done by them, is being sent by scammers. The fake text is being used by scammers to trick their potential victims into calling them at the fake Venmo technical support telephone number: 18662027909.

Yup. Got the same text today. Blocked the number and sent it to Tmobile scam number at 7726. Funny never received Venmo scam until I was approve for a Wells Fargo cc and signed up for their online banking.
