I rescheduled the delivery paying £3 using my bank details, as I thought my wife had ordered something. Checking up I found the email address was a p**n site and that Royal Group was a hotel company in Thailand. I now have the task of warning my bank and changing all my security details - no easy task!

I’ve just received this scam email from Royal Group.
I knew it was a scam because it went to an old unused email address and I’m not waiting for a parcel.

I clicked on the link before seeing these posts. It took me to a blank page seemingly belonging to ‘Essencepottery’. I didn’t go any further.

Same here! although I was expecting a parcel, but I already received it weeks before and thought maybe BT hasn’t delivered anything. However, I already had a redirect email with royal mail. so royal mail should be aware I already moved home. also, the parcel or tracking only has numbers and usually has letters. Checked the email address and it looks like a scam email. so checked here and boom! scam!

Thanks for confirming that the one I received is a scam.
It is always worth double-checking, especially if you are expecting a delivery, like me.
Shame more can't be done to trace and prosecute the scum who do this.

I got a slightly different one that I can't find any referral to online. The subject line was 'Royal Group - Digital parcel' followed by some numbers. (On checking the sender's email address it came up as being from a telex.be address)
Here is a copy of the email I've received:
"We are waiting your reschedule action.
Image of royal mail uk logo

Shipment no: 932979848246087

If this item is unclaimed by the return date, then it will be returned to sender.
We tried to deliver your parcel today but you weren't in or there was no safe place to leave it.
We require additional details to attempt re-delivery of this parcel, as the address provided appears to be incomplete.
Please provide the complete information for this address to attempt redelivery.
Currently, your parcel is being stored in our local depot.
Reschedule delivery package" ("Your parcel will be delivered on selected date.
On the morning of your delivery, you'll receive a 1 hour delivery slot to this email address.
We are making some changes to the way our drivers deliver parcels to offer 'contact-free delivery' right to everyone's doorsteps.
On arrival your driver will knock or ring the bell and step away to a safe distance. The driver will record your name and take a photo of the premises to confirm delivery"
They are very clever by using the royal mail spiel about Covid etc, that is in royal mail emails. Furthermore underneath was a 'Service Update', 'General Overview' all about deliveries, delays due to Covid affecting some branches etc etc. Again, all seemingly copied and pasted from a genuine royal mail email.
Hope this helps anyone else that's received this.
Be safe everyone, online as well as in health!

Just received the exact same email. Confused as I am expecting a delivery today of a parcel that has been delayed, but then I remembered a PSNI warning about a scam like this issued a few days ago. Just as well I checked first and found this site.
