Hermes Redelivery Scam Text- Reschedule and Cover £1.45 Service Fee

I Have unfortunately fallen for this scam and entered my bank card number and three digit security number and paid £1.45 to the scammers, its doesn’t look as though anything has been taken from my account I have stopped my card, what is likely to happen now please?

I receive yesterday this text and did not believe it was genuine but my husband insisted it was from 2 Day after Covid test kit and told me to pay. So I have given all informations and next day we still didn’t receive delivery and paid again. However, they kept changing missed delivered time and finally found out it was scam and contacted our bank.

I have also received an identical message today, absolutely disgusted with this repeated scam SMS/emails, people are becoming so unethical.
"Hermes: Hi, we have missed your delivery today, please visit https://redelivery-mypackage-fees.com to book a redelivery and pay the surcharge of 1.45 (GBP)

Just delete the message and block this number.

have just received one from Hermes ??? I'm sure that the large companies are fully aware of these scams, so why don't they withdraw there numbers, then if every company in the telephone business, made a concerted effort, this could be done, or, are they just happy to have the scammers custom, even if they are, acting illegally, as scammers.

These low life characters, are abusing the elderly and vulnerable.

I feel that they should also, when supplying a service, also take on the responsible as to who they allow.

These people, who make nuisance calls, or any other type of calls, should be monitored, and shut down, or in the case of Plusnet, send it to their scammers box.

Your phone company will reply and ask for the telephone number that sent the text. Not much help when they are all spoofed, but somebody will start taking down the fake website.

That's the best way to stop others getting ripped off.

I was waiting for a Hermes delivery today and received this text! Thought it was strange why they were asking for my birth date anyway decided it was dodgy and checked online

I am expecting Hermes delivery and they usually email first. This morning got a text message they had tried to deliver and asked me to rebook at £1.45 fee. They asked my birth date which I gave and then asked for bank details, account number and sort code. Now I got suspicious and googled if they asked this and it brought me here. Those dirty rats trying to rob people. A curse on them.

The exact same thing has just happened to me. I am expecting a delivery and I clicked the link and put in my name, first line of address and date of birth. Then it went on to ask for my bank details which is when I got suspicious and googled about it and found this website thank goodness. I'm worried that they'll be able to do something with the information I already gave them though.

Would I be charged if I replied to the text message telling the sender where to go, in a polite way of course....

I got a text yesterday prompting me to go to hxxps://resend-shipment.com/hermes asking for my name and address details including date of birth! Then prompted for payment of £1.45. I didn't do it but the website is a convincing copy.

I received this text, and your explanation confirmed my suspicions. Nobody would ever charge for a missed delivery. The web site is a convincing copy. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I was expecting a delivery & pressed the link but when they asked for my card number I realised it was a scam so I deleted it. I never give my card number online

Redirects to a very genuine looking Hermes website and it doesn’t look like it has been written by a 4 year old for a change so more vulnerable people could fall for it quite easily.

I received a message from heroes about a missed delivery. I called the number and it asked me to leave a message. I told them my name and first line of my address. 5hen said I was still in, if they were still in my village. I was expecting a couple of parcels at that time but It wasn't until afterwards thatI questioned which companies were delivering them. Neither were hermes.

With such bad grammar and obvious fake Email Address, I have reported this.

No, once you didn't submit your information on the page you were taken to, you should be ok.

Had one of these txt messages yesterday and another today. Thought the first was dodgy but getting a second made me wonder. They came from 2 different mobile numbers, I thought it could just be two different drivers.
The link quoted was slightly different on each, "redeliverparcel" on one and "parcelreschedule" on the other.
I went to one of the links which asked for ID and I put in old address details. The second page didn't say anything about not having anything to deliver for that address but asked for £1.45, which I didn't pay. It actually said "£1.45 (£1.04 VAT)". Doh! £1.04 20% VAT is £1.25.

Hmm I also received one of these today. I did not click on the link but I did reply saying 'addressed to who? What delivery address?' needless to say there was no reply but I didn't know that it could cost me a lot to send to that number :-(

Just had one of these myself, knew it was a scam straight away. Word of advice don't reply to the message as there could be a hefty charge to send to that number

Damm I fell for the scam text as I was expecting a delivery today and accidentally enter my details on the silly site... Only to realise the number was fake 07422506468??? Any advice on what to do?? Should I cancel my card??

I did fall too... I was rushing and didn't think about it. I did cancel my card 10 minutes after, and I can see that fortunately no money was taken from my account

Let your bank know that your card was compromised, they will decide if you need to cancel or not.

Got this text yesterday from 44 7398 722529. Didn't respond as I knew I had no parcels due. Deleted and number blocked.

I received similar text asking to pay a surcharge delivery fee of £1:45, even though I’m not expecting any delivery, while the entire family were home and no sound of the doorbell heard, I responded instantly a minute after the text but realised it’s a scam text.

Just received a similar message from 07990858041 asking me to re book delivery and pay the surcharge, slightly different link address. I realised this must be a scam as I am away and not expecting any deliveries
