VZN Rebate Scam - Thank You For Your Payment

The fake Verizon(VZN) Rebate text below, with a link to the malicious website - coveringwforest.com, is a scam. The fake text, which claims there is special a rebate from Verizon of $200, is being sent by scammers or cybercriminals who are attempting to trick their potential victims into clicking the link in it, which goes to a phishing or malicious website.

The VZN Rebate Scam Text

Thank you for your payment! Please accept our offer special rebate from VZN of $200. coveringwforest.com/?#yYVk1DK

The malicious website that the link in the text goes to will attempt to trick visitors into downloading malware, or steal their personal/financial information. Therefore, recipients of the text scam are asked not to click the link or follow the instructions in it.

So far we have received the Coveringwforest scam text from the following telephone numbers:

  • 860-996-2595
  • 313-768-9196
