Scamming - Fraud
Scammers are sending the Parcel Tracking text scam message below to potential victims from 772-262-2092 with a link to the phishing website itemisinwaiting.com. The parcel tracking scam text message claims the recipients have a package awaiting confirmation and cannot be delivered unless the outstanding tax balance is paid. Recipients are then asked to click a link to the phishing website(item is in waiting.com), which will take them to a phishing or fake USPS website that will ask them to make payment.

If the requested payment information is submitted on the phishing website, it will be sent to the scammers, who will use it fraudulently. Therefore, if you have been tricked into submitting your financial information by the same scam, please contact your bank for help.
