Received text from 8774542240 saying that my Visa card is temporarily locked. Please call the number listed. I ignored it because I have several security systems that would detect it.

My fiance got the text. It had a link to click on. And it gave that number to call. I was stupid and called it before googling the number. After a few rings the call was picked up, nothing was said. Then they hung up. Now I'm a little worried they might aomehow get my info.

I dialed the number and they asked me to press 1 if I wanted to unlock my card. I just hung up and blocked the number. When my call was answered it did not say I had reached any bank. As others have said it always good to call your bank, their number is on your credit/debit card just to be sure!

877-454-2250 sent an alert today titled “bank card alert” and said that my Visa card had been locked and to notify them immediately. The message had what appeared to be the last 4 digits of a Visa card (966#). This didn’t match any of my cards so I used google to look up the senders phone number and found multiple warnings of scammers using that number.

I received a text telling me to call this # because my visa had been suspended and it gave me part of "my" card #. I do not have a card with that # and I came here to verify this was most likely a scam. I reported and blocked the #.
