How the Scam Works

  • Phishing Texts: Victims receive text messages advertising thousands of dollars in "free" grocery or utility prepaid cards tied to medical or senior programs.
  • Fake Medical Supply Billing: Companies operating under similar names bill Medicare or private insurance thousands of dollars for expensive equipment—such as catheters or back braces—that patients never ordered or received.
  • Remote Job Scams: The name has also been spoofed in fake remote data entry or customer service job listings designed to steal personal candidate info.

Warning Signs to Watch For

  • Unsolicited text messages or calls promising free money, flex cards, or benefit expansions.
  • Requests for your Medicare number, Social Security number, or banking details to "verify eligibility" or "activate" a card.
  • Charges on your Medicare Summary Notice (MSN) or insurance statements for medical items you did not authorize.

What You Should Do
