Do not reply, click any links, or provide personal information if you receive an unexpected text or email claiming to be a "Truist Security Alert". Truist Bank has issued active warnings about widespread phishing and "smishing" (text-based) scams in which fraudsters impersonate the bank to drain accounts.
Scammers use lookalike numbers, fake emails, and spoofed caller IDs to manipulate you. Look out for these telltale signs:
