"personquiz.com" - A Fake Online Survey-Taking and Referral Website

Would you share this Article with others?

The website 'www.personquiz.com', which claims that you can earn money taking surveys and referring other people, is a scam. Do not register with this brand new website that was registered only 2 weeks ago (12-May-2015) called PersonQuiz, because you will only help make the scammers behind these websites make money, and put yourself at risk when you provide them with your personal information.

The Fake Survey-Taking Website

The website should not be trusted because it does not provide a secure connection on its registration page or other sensitive pages, which is used to secure information like your name, address, email and password, when you submit it to them.

A secure website starts with "https", instead of the standard unsecured "http".

Every legitimate website that deals with personal and financial information must have a secure connection (https://) that is used to protect its users information when it is transmitted over the internet.

Also, the website claims that it made payments to its members or users between January and April 2015, but the website was registered for the time on 12-May-2015.

Scammers will continue to use the same website under different names. So, if you stumble upon a website looking like the one above, please do not register or take part in any activity on it before doing your research.

Note: Some of the names, addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers or other information in samples on this website may have been impersonated or spoofed.

Oh my gosh. My entire family and friends have joined this website. We haven't given any personal info such as a debit card or account. Just basically our name and made a password. Should I get a new Paypal password? Even though I didn't give it to them.

I closed my paypal account after I signed up. should I cancel my debit card also as another precaution or am I ok by already closing paypal?

    • May 27, 2015 at 5:50 AM by info

You didn't have to close your PayPal account. You should have just changed the password.

If you have entered your debit or card information on the website, you may cancel it, otherwise, don't.
