SunTrust Online Session Has Been Blocked Phishing Emails

SunTrust Bank customers, if you have received email messages like the one below, claiming that your SunTrust Bank online sessions or sections will be blocked and ask you to click on a link to restore your accounts, please delete the email messages and do not follow the instructions in them. This is because the email messages are phishing scams sent by cybercriminal to steal their potential victims’ SunTrust Bank account credentials. And, once the cybercriminals have stolen their victims’ account credentials, they will gain access to their accounts, steal their money and use their accounts fraudulently.

Your online section is blocked

Dear Customer,

Our records shows that your online session has been blocked due to the following reasons

(1) Log on attempt from am unknown IP with your email address and information

(2) Inadequate of your update on your SunTrust Online Bank Account

We urge you to restore your account kindly click HERE immediately to avoid permanent shut down of your account

Thank you for using SunTrust Bank...

SunTrust Bank customers should never click on a link to sign into their online accounts. They should always go directly to https://www.suntrust.com/ and sign into their accounts from there. Once they have signed in, they will be notified of changes or updates that need to be done to their accounts.

SunTrust customers who have already been tricked by the phishing email messages should change their passwords and contact SunTrust immediately for help.
