Facebook users, the message below, which claims that your accounts have been reported by others because they have insulted others, is a phishing scam. The fake message was not sent Facebook, but by cyber-criminals, to trick their potential victims into visiting a phishing Facebook website. On the phishing website, potential victims will be asked to enter their Facebook usernames, passwords, email address, gender, birthday, country and security question. The requested information is what the cyber-criminals behind the phishing scam need, in order to hijack their victims’ accounts, which they will use fraudulently.

Facebook users who were tricked by the fake message, are asked to change their Facebook password immediately. And, for Facebook users who are unable to change their passwords, please click here for instructions on how to recover a hacked account.
