Once visitors are on the website, a pop-up message will appear that goes to a malicious website. The malicious website will automatically prompt the visitors to download and open a malicious file. Any attempt to open the malicious file will result in the visitors’ computers getting infected with a virus, ransomware, spyware or other malware. Therefore online users are asked not to visit the malicious fake-news website, even if they have antivirus software on their computers or mobile devices.

Online users who have already visited the malicious website, are asked to do a full scan of their computers or mobile devices with the antivirus software installed on them.
