The email message below is a Tefal phishing survey scam being sent by online scammers. The phishing scam, which claims Tefal is looking for cooking fanatics tricks recipients into visiting a fraudulent website that steals personal information and may trick visitors into visiting other fraudulent websites that steal financial information. The scam tricks recipients into participating by claiming they (testers) will receive a complete POT & PAN SET.

Tefal is a French manufacturer and supplier of kitchen housewares, cookware, and electrical items owned by Faisal.

The link in the phishing scam goes to the following fraudulent or fake Tefal website:

  • hxxp://tefal.product-testing-uk.com

The legitimate Tefal website is located at www.Tefal.com, and that is where online users should go to verify the authenticity of promotions or email messages that they have received.

Online users who have been tricked by the scam are asked to do the following:

  • those who have submitted their personal information are asked to be careful going forward because scammers will contact and attempt to scam them using the information that they have collected from the phishing scam
  • those who have used their credit cards are asked to contact their bank for help; they should let their banks know that they were tricked into using their credit cards on a fraudulent website.
