Beware of scam calls from telephone number (03) 9013 4917. It appears the number is being spoofed or used by scammers to contact their potential victims. Once contacted, the scammers will claim the recipient owes money and threaten arrest or legal action. Therefore, recipients of phone calls from (03) 9013 4917 should not disclose their personal or financial information to the caller, and should not send money or make payment to the scammers.

The scammers may also pretend to be representatives from the Australian Tax Office claiming you owe taxes.

I received this call yesterday, 7 November 2018. I was occupied and did not answer the phone so it went to voice mail.

I was aware it was a scam as soon as I listened to the message, however, I would think there would be many people especially elderly who would be very alarmed to receive such a strident and nasty message
