Beware of prosday.net - it is a Fake "The UK Mobile Promo Coke" Lottery Website

The website www.prosday.net is a fake "The UK Mobile Promo" or Coke website created by lottery scammers, which are being used to trick online users into believing they are winners in some so-called The UK Mobile Promo or Coke lottery. The lottery scammers behind the lottery scamming website lure their potential victims to it using email or SMS Text messages, which claim they have won thousands or millions of dollars/pounds, and they should visit either website to claim their so-called prizes.

Please continue below.

The Fake "The UK Mobile Promo Coke" Website - www.prosday.net

www.prosday.net

http://prosday.net/coke/reward/index.html

Your Mobile No is Selected as winner of £2000000 on UK EPL Lotto. Go to www.prosday.net to claim. enter Ref: EPL9103A . helpline: [email protected]

Once potential victims contact the lottery scammers, thinking they are contacting The UK Mobile Promo, the scammers will ask them to send personal information, and subsequently ask them to send money in order to receive their so-called prizes, which the scammers will claim the money is for taxes or processing fees. They will then ask their potential victims to send the money via Western Union, MoneyGram or other money transfer services. Once the scammers have received their victims’ money, they will disappear, leaving the victim frustrated, depress, and a few hundreds or thousands of dollars broke.

The same lottery scammers may contact their victims and attempt to scam them again using the personal information the victims sent to them, or they may sell their victims’ information to other lottery scammers, who will also attempt to scam the victims.

Therefore, online users are asked not to visit www.prosday.net, or any other websites, which claim they are winners in the The UK Mobile Promo or Coke lottery and are asked to send money or personal information in order to receive their so-called prizes.

(Actually, you do know. Who the hell is going to send someone millions of bucks out of the blue?)

I received the same message. The reference number and the mobile number is exactly the same. It's better they are less smart about this or many more people will lose money to these people whose life purpose is to scam and ripping off their fellow human beings.

Snap - I,m also from Adelaide and received the same message on my mobile phone this morning. Knew it was to good to be true. They must be targetting South Australians at the moment - fortunately none of us are stupid enough to get conned by this scheme.

This has been the first of these notices I have received for a long time - thought they had "got the message" and ceased trying it on - obviously not!

Got exactly the same text message. The sending mobile number appears to be another Australian mobile but this information can be spoofed because the Cellnet system is weak.

If you look up the domain name www.prosday.net (e.g. using hosts-file.net) the IP address and its owner are provided. It's in Lagos, capital of (reputedly) the most corrupt country in the world. I didn't need to go any further than that.

Yep, me too. Just received the same message claiming to be from the EPL. If you receive messages from anywhere that you haven't instigated contact with and the sender claims you have won/been selected for something that is too good to be true, it is always a scam...
