Therefore, the email message below, which claims that the recipients are lottery winners in the same so-called lottery or promotion, is a scam. The email message was NOT sent by Apple, but by cyber-criminals/scammers who are attempting to trick their potential victims into sending them money or personal information in order to collect their so-called lottery prize. Recipients of the lottery scam email message should delete it, and recipients who have already sent their information should be careful next time because the cyber-criminals will use that information in an attempt to scam them. Once cyber-criminals or scammers have received their potential victims’ information, they will continue to call or send them messages, in an attempt to scam them.
