Domain Listings Scam and Unsolicited Emails

Domain Listings Scam and Unsolicited Emails

I have received the unsolicited email below from Domain Listings or Domain-Listings located at or, which claims to be a web or internet directory asking about some "Annual Website Domain Listing on internet directory," and asking me to pay $228 for a directory service. But, Domain Listing's website is rank 1,871,166 according to Alexa's website ranking, at the writing of this article. Therefore, how can a website with such a poor ranking offer your website exposure? In other words, how can a website that is not receiving a lot of traffic or getting a lot of visitors expose your website to new or potential customers?

Another thing is, Domain Listings claim I need to renew my Domain Listing to keep it active on their web directory, but I have never registered on their website or used their service before. So, where did they get my information?

This is why I would never take up offers via unsolicited emails and will always do by research when I receive unexpected or suspicious emails.
