Area Code 213 Scam Telephone Calls

Over the past few months, we have seen a lot of scams asking potential victims to call 213 area code telephone numbers. We have also received complaints from online users who claim they have received fake or suspicious calls from some 213 area code numbers. Some of the calls are related to technical support scams. And, there are fake online stores that are using 213 are code numbers.

Recipients of unexpected calls from 213 area code telephone numbers are urged to take precaution. They should never disclose their social security number, personal or credit card information to the caller. If the callers claim they are calling from a particular company, hang up, look up the company's number and call the number to verify.

    Call from 213-235-9496, Social Security fraud dept, believe it is a scam. I did not answer or respond. Thx
