CTDOLNotifications CT Gov Unemployment Benefits Email

I got the email below from CTDOLNotifications@ct.gov regarding unemployment benefits from the Department of Labor due to coronavirus (COVID-19). I want to know if the email legitimate or not?

The CTDOLNotifications@ct.gov Email

From: CTDOLNotifications@ct.gov

Subject: Critical Information from Department of Labor – PLEASE READ!

Dear DOL Customer,

You are receiving this email because we have received your claim application for unemployment benefits. Due to the heavy volume of claims received daily, we estimate it may take a minimum of four weeks to process your claim, significantly delaying receipt of your unemployment benefits.

To address this delay, the Department of Labor has developed another option designed to get your claim processed and paid more quickly. This requires you to log back on TODAY to www.filectui.com , click the blue button and file a second claim — this time following the instructions in the Guide for Filing Unemployment Claims attached to this email.

If you have received an email from the Department of Labor saying that your claim has been processed or your employer has told you that you will be paid your wages during the shutdown, please do NOT file a second claim for unemployment.

It is critical that you follow the directions in the Guide exactly as written. Following these instructions will help us to process your claim more quickly.

NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED IN THIS GUIDE, YOUR CLAIM WILL LIKELY CONTINUE TO BE DELAYED FOR PROCESSING.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to find new ways to process this unusually high number of claims.
