I have autopay with AT&T and my cell phone is automatically paid each month via my credit card. I'm notified by AT&T when charges are coming due ahead of time, and bill will automatically pay on a certain day. Today I received the same message that my payment was unsuccessful. I doubled checked with my credit card company and there's more than enough credit available to pay the charged. That's when I noticed too the color coded messages I normally get from AT&T were different from this message. And the phone number didn't add up either. AT&T numbers are normally 1-800 this one was an area code 931. When I checked 931 is out of Columbia TN. I'm glad I double, triple and quadrupled checked before calling this number. I immediately forwarded it to AT&T to report it. Any time I get a suspicious text, email, phone call, I research before doing anything.
