The fake Comerica text below, which claims the recipients' account is temporarily locked and they should call 1-800-808-0559 in order to unlock it, is a scam. The scammers responsible for the fake text are attempting to trick potential victims into calling them at the fake Comerica customer support number 1-800-808-0559. If the scammers are called, they will attempt to trick the callers into disclosing their account credentials, personal and financial information, which they will use fraudulently.

If you have received the Comerica text scam, please post it in a comment below along with the telephone number it came from. Report the text to your cellphone provider and then delete it. Please do not call 1-800-808-0559.
