I got taken too! and the previous comments got it exactly right.I used PayPal, thinking it would provide protection as I've never dealt with this merchant before. Bad thinking.Merchant was able to come up with USPS Tracking Form that showed delivery to my city (CITY!) and that was enough for PayPal to decide the dispute in favor of Authentic-Site (how ironic)!PayPal is no longer a company I will use and I plan on copying as many banking regulators as I can find on what happened. There should be a class action suit... the villain here is PayPal not the lowlife scam artist that PayPal enables.
this site has no phone pickup and gives no return email or web message returns...so scam scam scam..I got my money back from paypal
Live and learn is correct. Pp will do nothing to take care of getting your money back. 🤞Charge card will take care of making a dispute.
The way scam works is that scammer will send package to somebody else in your city (usually Home Depot or something) which will sign for package. Tracking will just show city name but not your address. You'd need to call UPS and request them to provide proof that it was not delivered to YOUR address. By default PP will side with scammer, PP is a joke.
You are all right. The scammers from this website "Authentic - Site", sent me the email last night, confirming the delivery. I already contacted UPS and was confirmed that the delivery for that Track # was completed, but wasn't delivered to me. I'm going to get it all together, and I send it to PP. I wish there is a way to PP block this site, when someone gets something from them, PP should alert and no complete the Payment. Well living and learn .. I will use my Social Media and alert others about this site.
I filed a complaint with PP. about a purchased that I made on "Authentic-Site", Sunday 06/27. I notified that I was trying to get some kind of Confirmation and track delivery number for the merchandise that I bought. Guess what? PP sent me an e-mail back, notifying me that, they contacted Authentic - Site and got me the Truck number for delivery( scheduled for Today 06/30/2021 before 7 PM). BTW, the contact email for "Authentic -Site " provided by PP is completely different from the one showing on the website. Now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed, hoping to get my merchandise today. I will see.
I made the mistake of not checking with you first before purchasing from these people. I'm not sure why PayPal does not do a better job of researching these companies before they allow them to receive money through there financial service. It make PayPal look bad when these sites have the PayPal logo for payment. I'm sure they have the resources to check these place out so I'm not sure what the incentive is for them to continue this business practice.
