It seems as if 8442397398 is being used by scammers pretending to be from Amazon. Therefore, online users who are asked to call 844-239-7398 are asked not to do so. And, if they received text messages from the same telephone number, they should not follow the instructions in them.
Online users who have called 8442397398 and given out their account credentials or banking information are asked to contact their banks for help, change the password of their online accounts, and contact their local authority if they gave out other sensitive information.

I received this message today, “Dear Customer, your product ID# 195301 is confirmed. 935.61 will be charged from your card. Contact us on 1-844-239-7398. The text came from 857-395-6136. This is a scam. I did not call them. Be aware.
I received a scam text that said this.."ALERT: dear customer, your order # 197871 Is now being processed. Total cost will be $693.76. Contact Customer Care on 18442397398 now to cancel" The phone # that the text was from was: 561-298-0537I hope this helps someone else
Just received the following text message from 978-569-4232 (grammar, etc is how it was received):ALERT: Dear customer, your order#174683 Is now being processed. Total cost will be $389.29. Contact Custom Care on 18442397398 now to cancel.
I received a text that they were going to charge my card for my last purchase, which I had not made, and that I needed to call them at this number above...however, the phone number they actually texted me from was disconnected as I checked both numbers before deciding not to call....then I looked at this and was glad I had not....BEWARE!!!!!
I called from another line and just heard music. Then decided to look it up on Google. It's such a sad state that people can be taken advantage of with things like this.
I received text message from phone# 807-697-0648 that my last transaction would be charged $690.00 if I didn't call 844-697-0648 I called the 807-697-0648 and said invalid phone# and to call*611 which was my phone carrier the other number just goes straight to hold with music so just hung up
