Local Depot 25 Scam UK Post Office Text - local-depot25.com

Scammers are sending the Local Depot 25 scam text below with a link to the phishing website local-depot25.com. The phishing website purports to be the UK Post Office and claims there was an attempt to deliver a parcel but no one was in. It then requests a fee for the re-delivery and requests your credit card details and security code. But, if the requested information is sent, it will be used fraudulently.

    Thank goodness for this site - a parcel delivery attempt had been made, so it was viable, but this check prevented a potential problem.

    Was expecting a delivery and put my details in up until I was asked for my card details. That's when I decided to Google depot25.

    I think 'Jamie' is sat in his van, drinking coffee and listening to the radio all day and not delivering all the imaginary parcels he says he is trying to deliver!

    I am not aware of any legitimate company/organisation that asks for payment mid-way through the delivery process and certainly not via the PO in this instance.

    Unfortunately, people take messages at face value and are sucked into this horrible trap.

    People, please take care and DO NOT provide your personal details to Jamie or anyone else you are not sure of. Take care of yourself and your money.

    I received the same scam last night (Sunday 29th May). This is quite clever. It takes you to a "secure" "https" website with the padlock symbol and a Post Office logo. I can see how this would easily catch people out especially if they were expecting a delivery.

    I entered fictitious information and it still told me there was a package for me then suggested that I entered my credit card details (including security code) and pay £1-20.

    I am actually waiting for a parcel from the post office, however I know exactly where about the parcel is currently using geniune tracking info, and I know it hasn't acually been out for delivery yet.

    I also had another text today from EvrI apparently from number 447485750773 trying to tell me to pay a delivery fee for another parcel, otherwise it would be returned to sender. Well good luck with that one, it is in my house, delivered yesterday with no issue.

    I'd like to know how these scum actually get your details? Are the systems these companies use compromised or something I wonder?

    Just received the above text, I knew straight away it was a scam because we are sat outside enjoying the sun. Please all be vigilant

    Had the same text from Jamie and as I was expecting a parcel thought it was geniue rang number 2to 3times with no result started to fill in form to redeliver then realised questions asked it was a scam I am a elderly person in my nineties so please beware .

    When I Google the link it tells me that it's a scam

    It came from mobile number:

    So many scammers out there

    Got sent this and immediately thought it was a scam, if it was the official website you would know. please be careful and do not give your infront to these clowns

    It was so close to getting me as a friend did indeed send me something, luckily I did a double take when they asked for money, remember that the post office always recognizes your package with a tracking number and nothing else.

    I have just had the same text I knew it was a scam as it would normally say from Royal Mail, the number used to contact me was 07529673979 it actually had 44 in front so assuming it’s an international scam, hope this info helps others

    I received the same message this morning 23rd May 2022.

    I wasn’t expecting a delivery anyway but it didn’t look like a message Royal Mail would send.

    The link looked suspicious and a quick Google search led me here and confirmed it was a scam, thanks!

    Hope no-one falls for it.
