Scammers are sending the Local Depot 25 scam text below with a link to the phishing website local-depot25.com. The phishing website purports to be the UK Post Office and claims there was an attempt to deliver a parcel but no one was in. It then requests a fee for the re-delivery and requests your credit card details and security code. But, if the requested information is sent, it will be used fraudulently.

I filled in the majority of the form until the asked for card details which I did not give,hope that they can't do anything with the information I gave, however I did not send it.

It is a phishing scam. The aim is to trick you into visiting a fake website that steals account credentials, personal and financial information.

What should you do if you give all your details up till the card payment bit?Does anything need to be done? No card details were given but name and address were as I was expecting a delivery
If you didn't give your credit card details, you should be ok. Just be careful going forward.

I got a text today from Jamie saying he tried to deliver a parcel but nobody was in. I am expecting a parcel so thought it was real.

I think 'Jamie' is sat in his van, drinking coffee and listening to the radio all day and not delivering all the imaginary parcels he says he is trying to deliver! I am not aware of any legitimate company/organisation that asks for payment mid-way through the delivery process and certainly not via the PO in this instance. Unfortunately, people take messages at face value and are sucked into this horrible trap.People, please take care and DO NOT provide your personal details to Jamie or anyone else you are not sure of. Take care of yourself and your money.
Had the text today, but I WAS expecting a delivery from SKY and no one was in so expected a redelivery - almost fell for it but stopped at the card details. Strange coincidence....

Received a scam email from a Jamie pretending that he had a parcel for me and I had to arrange a delivery gave post office details beware everyone!

I received the same message this morning. I started to put my details in, but when it asked for my bank details I suspected a scam so I checked it out and sure enough it is. Be careful. B****y scammers!

I received the same scam last night (Sunday 29th May). This is quite clever. It takes you to a "secure" "https" website with the padlock symbol and a Post Office logo. I can see how this would easily catch people out especially if they were expecting a delivery.I entered fictitious information and it still told me there was a package for me then suggested that I entered my credit card details (including security code) and pay Ā£1-20.
