For example these Spyfocus 'security cameras', also called Camtrix, which only cost around £5 to £10 on eBay, Amazon and AliExpress sold for £40. Their website getspyfocus also prominently displays a (fake/lookalike ) static Trustpilot logo / widget and the text says TrustScore 4.7 | 8938 Customer Reviews - as you can see here, they do NOT have a Trustscore of 4.7 nor do they have thousands of reviews, so this is obviously fake - yet another totally false claim from this company in their attempts to rip people off during a cost of living crisis. The getspyfocus website also contains half a dozen positive Trustpilot reviews that are not displayed here on their Trustpilot page, all the reviews are either 5 stars or 4 and a half stars. There are no 4 or 5 star Trustpilot reviews on this page (and it's also impossible to give a half star in a Trustpilot review!) so these Trustpilot reviews on their website are almost certainly fake. You can buy these camera from AliExpress same Chinese company selling them and they run the same app to get them going . Think it cost £2 for the camera . They will only work once you have entered your bank details to the Chinese app company . Seen some reviews of the app company on Google play and quite a few people have had unauthorized payment removed .Also by agreeing to the terms of the Chinese company app provider you are opening your phone up to them .The camera are nothing special . The QR codes fail to link, the app fails to send me a verification code, the support on the app store’s link fails. The instructions are printed on a very small little piece of paper and there’s no website or support listed anywhere. Obviously a scam. We will notify the Better Business Bureau, make a case at Interpol and whoever else needs to know. I’m not upset, I just know the law of Karma and have compassion for these misguided souls. Please do better.an anonymous userhttps://www.onlinethreatalerts.com/users/#an-anonymous-userFeb 17, 2024 at 11:51 AM by Is Spyfocus a Scam or Legit Camera?an anonymous user from: Linkoping, Ostergotland County, SwedenOrdered these cameras, besides not liking the idea of linking to a foreign server. They are terrible picture wise, kept dropping the wifi. The part that really bugs me on these crappy cameras, you have to pay to return them. And they want a tracking #, which cost more. And they will not refund the cost of shipping. When you call them to complain, they offer you to keep the camera and they will refund half the purchase price. What does that tell you
