The email message below which states: "You have been selected by Woolworths Online Department to take part in our quick and easy reward survey," is a phishing scam and was not sent by Woolworths, a supermarket/grocery store chain in Australia, owned by Woolworths Limited. The phishing email message, which appears as if it was sent by Woolworths and asking recipients to fill out a survey in order to receive a $50 credit to their accounts, was created by scammers to trick the recipients into sending them their financial and personal information.

Please continue reading below.

The recipients of the phishing email should delete it and not respond to the survey under any circumstances. Woolworths said they would never ask their customers for their personal or banking details in an unsolicited email. Therefore, recipients of the phishing email message, who have submitted their credit card information via the fake surveys, are asked to let their banks know that they have unknowingly entered their credit card information on a phishing website.
