Do Not Call 469-263-9559 - it is Being Used by Lottery Scammers
The scammers are currently using 469-263-9559 to send lottery scamming notifications to potential victims but may ask the potential victims to call the same number.
Sample of a Lottery Scam Text Message From 469-263-9559
"Gmail Lottery (469) 263-9559: You have announced WINNER of $500,000 with Apple Laptop By Gmail Inc,C0NTACT claims@gmaillo"
Now, if the telephone number (469-263-9559) is called, the callers will get an automated message or a person asking them for their account credentials, personal information, including their social security numbers, bank account numbers, or other information the cybercriminals need in order to gain access to their potential victims’ accounts, steal their money and use their accounts fraudulently.
Persons who were tricked into giving out their banking information are asked to contact their banks for help, change the password of their online accounts, and contact their local authority if they gave out other sensitive information.
