Online Threat Alerts (OTA) - Alerting you to scams and frauds.
Costco is warning customers about a $75 anniversary coupon scam spreading on social media. Costco said it is NOT giving away $75 coupons and while they love their fans and members, this offer is a SCAM, and in no way affiliated with Costco. The scam works by telling social media users they will receive a voucher if they share the image of the fake Costco coupon. But, it doesn't matter how many times the fake coupon is shared, the recipients will never receive what they were promised.
Therefore, recipients of the $75 anniversary coupon scam are asked not share it, they should delete it instead. For recipients who have already shared the scam, they should delete it and share this article with the people they have shared it with.
