The "Bud Light Drink Car Wrap Advertisement" Scam

The "Bud Light Drink Car Wrap Advertisement" below is a scam. The scam claims that vehicle owners with a driver's license can be paid $500 or more weekly via check (cheque) to have their vehicle wrapped in an advertisement. The scammers behind this fraudulent scheme or scam will send you fake checks, ask you to take your share of the money and wire the rest to a graphic designer or give it to someone else. You will then be left to pay back the bank the wired amount and other charges associated with the processing of the check. Whenever you receive offers that are too good to be true, please do your research before participating, even if the offers seem legitimate.

It’s a SCAM. I’ve got the paperwork along with a check made out to another person. They asked for my year and color of my car, phone, address. This scam parallels all the above examples. Sad that frauds and scammers are so prevalent. Ty Hand

This is the actual email I received. If you read carefully it has several misspelled words. A legitimate company would never allow literature or correspondence to go out into the public with spelling errors. They pay people to proof. Notice there is no name of the company that will wrap your car, no phone number to contact the person who is paying you and the salutation is so generic. Thee were my first clues.

The check is written in the name of a legitimate company drawn on a legitimate bank. However, if you call them they will know nothing about a check or company. Also you can check the routing number of any bank and this routing number is not legitimate. My advice is to question anything that sound good and offers to put money in your pocket for doing very little. Never deposit a check from anyone you do not know.
