281 Area Code Scam Telephone Calls

Scammers are calling from 281 area code telephone numbers attempting to trick their potential victims into visiting phishing websites that steal account credentials, personal and financial information. Some of the scammers have call potential victims leaving voice messages claiming their Amazon accounts have been charged. They are also pretending to be from the Federal Reserve and will attempt to get advance fees for some fake Mega Millions Jackpot winnings.
