Received 3 days ago in NSW, Australia.Looks very legit.Someone has taken a lot of time and effort to put this together.
Received last month but the court is Manchester instead of Chester. Same people and lawyers name. I used to live in Sydney and now Liverpool, Uk. I know that I have been part of Health Insurance breach in Aus.
If this is a verified scam how is it possible that for over 6 months this website is still up with no authorities taking it down : https://corbinbaumanpc.comIts even a httpS website, a secure verified website with certificate! All the attachments look quite real as well with stamps etc, and there is no obvious way to detect it as a scam other then one becoming suspicious and unlikely to receive large amount of funds out of the blue. Received this email today, in Melbourne. Looks completely legit since all the information is correct! I was also a victim of the Optus data breach if this helps anyone!
Received twice in Perth, Australia
Received this email with my correct address listed. Is there anything recommended to protect myself from further scams?
I received this on April 14th, Southern Ireland.
Received in Brisbane Thursday 13 April 2023. Correct first and surname used. Has an old work address which just happened to be the Queensland Police HQ.
Thank you
Received in Melbourne, AustraliaDetails included first name, surname and current address.
Received today in ACT, Australia. Previous address but still had a lot of my data.
I have received this email in Australia.
Received today In Western Australia. Included my full name and previous address. Where did a scammer get this info? it looks very official. No links to click on, nor attachments. Just an email to reply to for further info.
Hi. I have received also this Email today in Spain. Thank you for this warning. God bless you more.
Received this email today in SA Australia
My wife in Australia received this exact email. We quickly noticed that the date on the "scam" letter was written as the USA method, i.e. the month, day & year. Clever scam though! Thankfully and sadly, we have now reached the point of trusting no-one.The joys of modern technology!
Received this 12/4/23, Western Australia.
Received this today. Melbourne
Same here- the scary part is it has my old home address correct. I was in the Optus breach, but they assured me my information was fine
Yeah in QLD Australia and got this email today. Lol.
Received 12/4/23 so still doing the rounds. Am in Melbourne and have been part of Medibank breach.
I also recieved this email, have not and will not reply to it , lol .
I got the same email but it lined up perfectly with a cash settlement I received from a company so I thought it was real, I only replied back to the mbauman-corbinbaumanpc.com email and didn’t give any more details. Will I be safe?
Yes, if you don't send money or your sensitive information.
I've also just received the same email from Carl Schneider
Like a lot of Australian's here, I was triggered by "2nd Notice", "This is not spam!", "DO NOT SHARE", I had data stolen in both the Optus and Medibank data breaches.Rxed from cschneider-bna.wchesternmg.co.uk on 7 Apr 2023.I guess these sorts of emails will be coming my way for the next few years at least.
Received one of these today (8th April 2023). Had my full name but gave me a gut feeling it was rubbish. Seems I'm not alone.
Scam
This scam is still active as of 06 April 2023.From a Carl Schnider...
I also received this from Carl Schneider.
Received one today addressed to my Mum who passed away 6 years ago. Not sure how they connected my mum to my email address though.
Received the same in Aust 31 Mar 23 - as above, looks genuine but Senders name and email account differences were the red flag for me.
Received same as above, March, 2023, in Sydney. Looks genuine but notification date Americanised as was ‘Center’. - immediate red flag! Sender was Courtney Bassinger
Received 22/03/23 here in Hobart, TAS, Australia. 2nd Notice! (Haven't received the 1st one) No specific information of ANY KIND! Just my identity and consumer credit files were compromised, the end. Then to hook me in, an option to 'UNSUBSCRIBE' through elastic mail.com.
I received today in Brisbane - no reference on what account of mine the "data breach" occured. I am very cautious, unfortunately affected by the Medibank Private and The Smith Family data breaches. And I had my twiter account hacked by someone in Bristol UK. I follow no links anymore, especially form overseas, without either calling the company emailing me or checking to see if its bene reported as a scam.
Received in Rural Victoria 10/02/2023.Looks convincing and is very scary, straight up fell intimidated, used & violated by scum, however ...Red Flags: - Full name not used- 'This is not spam' & 'DO NOT SHARE' included in email - straight up suspicious- email of sender not the same (but similar) to the reply email for questions or inquiries- when googling West Chester Magistrates Court the address is the same .. casts doubt if it may or may not be real.BE VERY AWARE!!
Received 02/02/23 here in Sydney, NSW, Australia (only checked my spam folder tonight, 07/02/23 though!). As others have said, well written, but what stood out to me like the proverbials was the Americanised (or Americanized) spelling of "centER" in the return email address, not the regulation British "centRE". Beware !
Wife received this email on 04/02/2023 in NSW Australia.Felt it was a scam from the get go. It seemed to be very well written. Did a bit of searching on internet and ended up on this website.
received 7/3/23. had old details only Telstra customer so still trying to s***w people nothing about this scam on news. so can still get the unawares
I received it today 4/02/2023. They had my name right but no address details.I don't have accounts except Optus.Eliza WeilerInternational Help CenterWest Chester Magistrates' Court24 Grosvenor St, West Chester, United Kingdom If you have questions or comments email us: inquiries-westchestermag.co.ukhelpcenter-westchestermag.co.uk.

Also got one in WA Australia. I have never provided details to Optus, Medibank or Woolworths
We got one, Vic Australia, correct names and address, we are/were Optus customers.
An immediate giveaway is the spelling "center" in a U.K. email address or the name of a U.K. organization.

I'd received this Email yesterday ( 2nd notice ) as I got one a few months ago. it has my husband's correct full name and address but sent to my Email.sender: Todd KalahanInternational Help CenterWest Chester Magistrates' Court24 Grosvenor St, West Chester, United Kingdom We're not with Optus or Medibank.
hI I had the same email yesterday also-I live in South Australia and they used my correct name and address,I was with a health fund that was owned by medibanksent to me by RodI Carlos!!
I got this today, they had my correct name and address. I assume from the Medibank scam, I don't have a policy with them but I got a quote from them a year ago and was advised by email last week my quote details had been stolen - they shouldn't have been allowed to keep my quote details, they should have been purged when I didn't take out a policy.
I received one of these emails today.Found this thread my googling the email address in the email - helpcentre-westchestermag.co.uk.The sender was Todd KalahanInternational Help CentreWest Chester Magistrates Court24 Grosvenor Street, West Chester, United Kingdom.Honestly, the only reason I googled it in the first place was because I thought Westchester was spelt incorrectly.I will give them this - they gave me an address that I haven't lived at for about 8 years.
