If this is a verified scam how is it possible that for over 6 months this website is still up with no authorities taking it down : https://corbinbaumanpc.com

Its even a httpS website, a secure verified website with certificate!

All the attachments look quite real as well with stamps etc, and there is no obvious way to detect it as a scam other then one becoming suspicious and unlikely to receive large amount of funds out of the blue.

  • April 12, 2023 at 11:14 PM by an anonymous user from: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia

My wife in Australia received this exact email. We quickly noticed that the date on the "scam" letter was written as the USA method, i.e. the month, day & year.

Clever scam though! Thankfully and sadly, we have now reached the point of trusting no-one.

    The joys of modern technology!

I got the same email but it lined up perfectly with a cash settlement I received from a company so I thought it was real, I only replied back to the mbauman@corbinbaumanpc.com email and didn’t give any more details. Will I be safe?

    • April 10, 2023 at 7:32 PM by info

Yes, if you don't send money or your sensitive information.

  • April 8, 2023 at 9:14 AM by an anonymous user from: Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Like a lot of Australian's here, I was triggered by "2nd Notice", "This is not spam!", "DO NOT SHARE", I had data stolen in both the Optus and Medibank data breaches.

    Rxed from cschneider@bna.wchesternmg.co.uk on 7 Apr 2023.

I guess these sorts of emails will be coming my way for the next few years at least.

  • April 7, 2023 at 11:16 PM by an anonymous user from: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

  • April 2, 2023 at 9:39 PM by an anonymous user from: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Received the same in Aust 31 Mar 23 - as above, looks genuine but Senders name and email account differences were the red flag for me.

Received 22/03/23 here in Hobart, TAS, Australia. 2nd Notice! (Haven't received the 1st one) No specific information of ANY KIND! Just my identity and consumer credit files were compromised, the end.

Then to hook me in, an option to 'UNSUBSCRIBE' through elastic mail.com.

  • March 21, 2023 at 12:33 AM by an anonymous user from: Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

I received today in Brisbane - no reference on what account of mine the "data breach" occured. I am very cautious, unfortunately affected by the Medibank Private and The Smith Family data breaches. And I had my twiter account hacked by someone in Bristol UK. I follow no links anymore, especially form overseas, without either calling the company emailing me or checking to see if its bene reported as a scam.

  • February 9, 2023 at 10:07 PM by an anonymous user from: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia

    Received in Rural Victoria 10/02/2023.

Looks convincing and is very scary, straight up fell intimidated, used & violated by scum, however ...Red Flags:

    - Full name not used

    - 'This is not spam' & 'DO NOT SHARE' included in email - straight up suspicious

    - email of sender not the same (but similar) to the reply email for questions or inquiries

    - when googling West Chester Magistrates Court the address is the same .. casts doubt if it may or may not be real.

    BE VERY AWARE!

  • February 7, 2023 at 6:14 AM by an anonymous user from: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Received 02/02/23 here in Sydney, NSW, Australia (only checked my spam folder tonight, 07/02/23 though!). As others have said, well written, but what stood out to me like the proverbials was the Americanised (or Americanized) spelling of "centER" in the return email address, not the regulation British "centRE". Beware!

  • February 5, 2023 at 4:16 AM by an anonymous user from: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Wife received this email on 04/02/2023 in NSW Australia.

Felt it was a scam from the get go. It seemed to be very well written. Did a bit of searching on internet and ended up on this website.

hI I had the same email yesterday also-I live in South Australia and they used my correct name and address,I was with a health fund that was owned by medibank

sent to me by RodI Carlos!

  • January 31, 2023 at 12:51 AM by an anonymous user from: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

I got this today, they had my correct name and address. I assume from the Medibank scam, I don't have a policy with them but I got a quote from them a year ago and was advised by email last week my quote details had been stolen - they shouldn't have been allowed to keep my quote details, they should have been purged when I didn't take out a policy.

  • January 30, 2023 at 9:09 PM by an anonymous user from: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia

I received one of these emails today.

Found this thread my googling the email address in the email - helpcentre@westchestermag.co.uk.

    The sender was

    Todd Kalahan

    International Help Centre

    West Chester Magistrates Court

24 Grosvenor Street, West Chester, United Kingdom.

Honestly, the only reason I googled it in the first place was because I thought Westchester was spelt incorrectly.

I will give them this - they gave me an address that I haven't lived at for about 8 years.

They are still active as I received an email yesterday the 27th. Jan 2023. Didn’t open any links, but googled West Chester Magistrates Court instead and found different email addresses. Clicked onto Carla Fischer’s name and that email address was different to the one used last October. Not with Woolies, and not a Medicare customer, but have a simple Optus phone that stores no data. Don’t open these emails, you don’t know what will happen. You could come unstuck “playing” with them!

  • January 13, 2023 at 9:26 PM by an anonymous user from: Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Received today, same as others with correct details

    Email: Carla Fischer westchestermb@englandmail.com

Thank You for posting the latest scams. They are getting more clever all the time and sometimes hard to distinguish.

  • November 14, 2022 at 11:31 PM by an anonymous user from: City, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia

I got the email too and replied to it. They wrote back requesting to contact a law firm which I did. Let's see how much further this goes. I will lead them on than cut them off.

  • October 25, 2022 at 10:49 PM by an anonymous user from: City, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia

I got this email yesterday in Australia. I am not in Medibank or Optus. My full name was in it and it supposedly came from westchestermc@englandmail.com but it said at the bottom to email them at help@westchestermag.co.uk

  • October 25, 2022 at 10:23 PM by an anonymous user from: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Another Australian here. Had full name and address etc in the email. Others have mentioned on here that maybe data came from recent Woolies or Medibank breaches, but I don't use either. I got warnings from the recent Optus breach that partial details had been compromised but not enough to need documents renewed. Hmmmm...

  • October 25, 2022 at 6:44 PM by an anonymous user from: City, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia

further to my previous message, think maybe it is related to the woolies home delivery hack

Received one of these emails today. checked it out and as I thought, it is a scam. Email deleted.

    • October 24, 2022 at 11:57 AM by an anonymous user from: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

How did you check it out? Can you outline how you determined it was fake? They had my correct address, how about for you?

      • April 14, 2023 at 3:52 AM by an anonymous user from: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

they did't identify who the 'offenders' were that had been 'prosecuted' was the first Rat that we smelled, plus very strange source from which to receive such an email in Australia - suspiciously vague, 'out of left field' info. Then of course, starting to notice all the other odd discrepancies (Red Flags) mentioned here.

      • October 25, 2022 at 6:46 AM by an anonymous user from: Macquarie Park, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Yeah, I had the same. They knew my address and I live in Australia so it's odd
