Recipients of messages or phone calls from telephone 203-456-9432 requesting personal information, financial information, or money are asked to delete the messages and not follow the instructions in them. Also, they should not follow instructions from callers from the same number who request personal information, financial information, or money. This is because 203-456-9432 is being used by cyber criminals to scam potential victims. The criminals disguised themselves as agents from legitimate companies or as friends, in order to trick potential victims into following their instructions.

Here is a phishing text message asking the recipients to call 203-456-9432:

"Important message sent to (803) 917-1** by Wells-Fargo.

Code: VISA DEBIT Card locked. Call support at: 203-456-9432. Thank You!"

Persons who have already been tricked by calls or SMS text messages from 203-456-9432 who have sent personal and financial information are asked to contact their banks and their local authority for help. While persons who have allowed the scammers/cyber criminals to gain remote access to their computers are asked to have their computers checked for spyware and other malicious software by a trustworthy computer savvy friend, family member, or a computer technician.

Also, recipients of calls or text messages should never provide their credit card information, banking information or social security number over the phone to the senders or callers.
